Our boy Mark Gantt stars ‘SOLO’ in the new Miley Cyrus music video which is a cover of Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters” featuring Elton John, YoYo Ma, Robert Trujillo, Chad Smith and Andrew Watt.

We think he absolutely KILLS IT!! Mark you’ve reawakened all our teenage dreams of starring in a rock music video!! Who says you have to be in your 20s to star in a music video?

Mark Gantt teamed up with frequent collaborator Rowan Glenn and Tom Kirk and their Hidden Road Studios to be in front of the camera on this one. The video was directed by Kirk while Glenn handled the editing and visual effects.

Hidden Road Studios create music videos, lyric videos, live show visuals, and touring concert films. They’ve worked for such artists as Muse, Khalid, Imagine Dragons, Katy Perry, Shawn Mendes, Sam Smith, Coldplay, Elton John, Metallica, and many more.

Along with Miley, 52 other artists perform a unique rendition of their favorite song from Metallica’s self-titled fifth album (also known as The Black Album) in honor of its enduring impact over 30 years.

The new Blacklist album, along with a remastered version of the original Black Album, will both be released on Sept. 10 via Blackened Recordings.
